“I want to tell the story of the beach where I grew up, using this beautiful material, wool. I discovered traditional techniques for the craft of felting and the meaningful history and culture behind it. With this as inspiration, I developed a new and personalized felting technique that creates a unique relief effect. Through this work, I pay tribute to the beauty of an empty beach. One that isn’t swarming with tourists or surrounded by shops. Beaches like this are becoming rare over the years, making it so important for me to capture the pure, natural beauty and the wonderful simplicity of this place.”
