‘Flemish Meadows’ is a tapestry made from wool from the Kempen region. Nell uses "leftover" wool that was deemed too short to spin into yarn. By employing a self-developed felting technique, she discovered the potential of this wool and created a wall covering depicting a typical Flemish landscape.

"I want to tell the story of the Kempen village where I grew up by using this beautiful material. I explored traditional techniques for the craft of felting, as well as the Flemish history and culture behind it. Inspired by this, I developed a new felting technique and added my own touch to our historically significant 'Flemish Tapestry.' With this work, I pay tribute to my village and the beautiful simplicity of the Flemish landscape."
